Despite frontman Deryck Whibley’s recent health scare, Sum 41 are releasing a new track called “Landmines” on Wednesday, September 27.

The track will be the first single off the band’s forthcoming record, Heaven :x: Hell, which will be the band’s final album.

In May 2023, Sum 41 announced that they would be disbanding after releasing one last album and completing a world tour.

“A lot of other people were retreating to things that made them feel good in the past,” Whibley told Rolling Stone at the time. “There’s some weird nostalgia that kicked in because of the pandemic. It all made sense to me why pop-punk is coming back: it’s feel-good music. There’s something that’s happy about it. Something young and innocent and free.”
