It’s no secret that Dave Grohl likes to drop F-bombs. However, that was a potential issue during Foo Fighters’ recent show in Abu Dhabi, where the use of the F-word is considered a crime and punishable by up to a year in prison.

Grohl took no chances during the show, taping a sign to his microphone that read “NO CURSING” in all caps. He marveled at his ability to avoid cursing, saying “I think that’s the first time ever!”. He also joked that the band’s late drummer, Taylor Hawkins, “would have loved this”.

During the show, Grohl dedicated “Everlong” to Hawkins, revealing that he “had a dream about him last night that he was bald with a ponytail. I swear to god, I really did. I dream about him three times a week, but last night’s was good because he had no hair and a ponytail.”
